Joe Wheeler has written books on a diverse
number of subjects, such as investing, petroleum,
time management, TV and the American home, book
collecting for investment, Zane Grey and the Old
West, women in America, and stamp collecting for
investment. He is also a lover of old stories, for which some of his recent works include
Dad in My Heart, Mom in My Heart, and Christmas in My Heart vols. 1-10.
Joe received a B.A. in History in 1959
and an M.A. in History in 1963 from Pacific
Union College. He earned an M.A. in English
from the University of California in 1968 and
a Ph.D. in English from Vanderbilt University
in 1975. He has held a wide variety of
positions in his career, including director of
the Southwestern Adventist College Adult Degree
Program, executive director of Zane Grey's West
Society, and professor of English and chair of
the Department of Communication and English at
Columbia Union College. He is currently the
publisher and editor-in-chief of Zane Grey's
West magazine.
Joe and his wife, Connie Palmer Wheeler,
have two grown children and reside in Conifer,
Colorado.
