Wendy Murray Zoba uses her writing to connect
with young Christians and those seeking Christianity. Her book Generation 2K was published in 1999.
Her latest book (with J. I. Packer), J. I. Packer Answers Questions for Today, is a question and answer
session with one of the country's most respected
evangelists. Young Christians seeking answers
to their questions of faith are a whole new
audience for the wisdom of J. I. Packer.
A friend of the Zoba family, J. I. Packer's
appearance at the small-group Bible study of
Wendy's son found him answering all sorts of
relevant questions about what it means to be a
Christian in today's world. Wendy explained her inspiration for the book: "He won these boys over with his wit and wisdom, and I wanted to share the blessing."
Wendy received her B.A. in Religion from
Hiram College in 1980 and her M.A. in
Theological Studies/New Testament from Gordon-
Conwell Theological Seminary in 1985. While
residing in Honduras, Wendy worked as a
columnist for Honduras This Week, the weekly English newspaper in Honduras. She was a
Regional Reporter for Time magazine and is
currently an Associate Editor/Staff Writer for
Christianity Today.
Wendy enjoys reading a good mystery,
walking, swimming, biking, volleyball, and
tennis. James Taylor is her musical favorite,
and she admits that she's always dreamed of
singing backup for him just once. Wendy and
her husband, Robert, enjoy travel, but would
rather spend their free time with her three
sons. The Zoba family makes its home in
Wheaton, Illinois.
